Michelle Iacona is an author, ordained priestess, ordained Ollamh Dewin in a non-affiliated Welsh Druidic Tradition which she co-founded, transformative medium, and the owner and driving force behind Iaconagraphy Press. She is also the co-founder of the Witchcraft Tradition known as Syrenity, alongside Connla Hundr Lung (formerly Freyjason), in which she holds the titles of Syren and Godsinger. Her educational background includes a BA in English with emphasis on Creative Writing, a minor in Ethnomusicology (with emphasis on Asian Musics), and the equivalencies of degrees in Comparative Religion and Folklore and Mythology. A psychic reader since age 15, she boasts over 30 years of experience as a practicing Pagan, Witch, and Divination Specialist, as well as three decades of living her life as a shamanic transformative medium. She also has experience as a teacher of both creative writing and art. She has continued her study of the esoteric arts in classes conducted by such important names in the field as Laurie Cabot, Christopher Penczak, Kristoffer Hughes, and Michelle Belanger. Her published works include Carnavale and Raven, as well as co-authoring Turning the Wheel: The Ritual Year of the Norse Witch with Connla Hundr Lung (formerly Freyjason). She is the editor, layout designer, and publisher of Norse Witch: Reclaiming the Heidhrinn Heart by Connla Hundr Lung, Blessings of Fire and Ice by Connla Hundr Lung, and Faith, Food, Family by Suzanne Hersey, all of which are in current publication and have sold internationally. Born and raised in the American South, she now resides in Massachusetts, along with a host of “dead-folk”, her “soul sister” Suzanne, her beloved PTSD-kitty, Gimli, and a collection of friends and family which she is “truly blessed to know”. She credits her Mom, Dad, Mema, and Granddaddy Sonny with having helped her become “the Wicked Witch of the South”: a woman who dares to dream big, and then stand up for those dreams, regardless of the obstacles.
Connla Hundr Lung is the creator and founder of the animistic and symbiotic magickal system known as Heidhr Craft/Vendel Witchcraft, a Vitki and Godhi within that Tradition, and the author of Norse Witch: Reclaiming the Heidhrinn Heart and Blessings of Fire and Ice: A Norse Witch Devotional, as well as co-author of Turning the Wheel: The Ritual Year of the Norse Witch. He is now also the co-founder of the Witchcraft Tradition known as Syrenity, alongside Michelle Iacona, holding titles as Retiarius and Godsinger within that Tradition. He currently works full-time as Art Director and Public Relations Director at Iaconagraphy Press. Formerly known as Connla Freyjason, he has been dead and Pagan for at least three decades, and tends to view his status as a channeled spirit as “the elephant in the room that everyone actually wants to talk about”. However, he would much rather be regarded as a Chinese-American man with a valuable voice; a man who has something worthwhile to say, via both his art and his writing. He just happens to also be a man, like most men, who got where he is right now through considerable help from very dear friends and loved ones. Though raised Buddhist/Taoist with a strong Protestant backbeat, for the past three decades of his afterlife, Connla has explored various Pagan paths, including Wicca, Kemeticism, Welsh Reconstructionist Druidry, and Heidhr Craft, before co-founding and settling into Syrenity. Connla currently holds the equivalency of a degree in Archaeology (with emphasis on Norse Studies), and is presently working on the equivalency of a Masters in Archaeology (equivalencies because: it is very hard to find a university that is willing to enroll the Dead!). Connla has furthered his knowledge of the esoteric arts in classes conducted by such important names in the field as Christopher Penczak, Mat Auryn, Kristoffer Hughes, John Hijatt, and Renee Des Anges. Connla currently resides in Massachusetts, along with his “hostess-with-the-mostest”, Michelle, and his Beloved, Suzanne. He is owned by four cats: Kili Freyjason (on the Other Side), Lady Blueberry Cheesecake of the Twitchy Tail (on the Other Side), Nimue (on the Other Side), and Gimli. Connla enjoys cooking, home-making, paper-crafting, crochet, leather-crafting, sewing, creating digital art, writing poetry, researching Straight Egyptian Arabian horses, designing and creating tack for model horses (working with miniatures), serving his Deities, trying to make the world a more compassionate place, and learning as much as he possibly can about those things which spark his passions.
